Hiring comes round rarely enough that every job post starts from a blank page. This AI recruiting assistant template installs a one-person People & Hiring department in Biilda. The Hiring Assistant drafts the post, builds the interview questions and screens candidates against a rubric, working only from files you put in a granted folder.
It is for owners and managers who hire occasionally. Biilda runs on Windows and macOS, costs nothing to download, and builds from plain-English chat requests: AI employees (an AI agent with a job), skills and scheduled tasks.
What this template does
A one-person People & Hiring department: the Hiring Assistant, working entirely from files you put in its granted folder — no connector required.
Drop in a role-requirements file and, on request, it drafts a full job post ready to edit and publish yourself, plus a tailored set of interview questions for that role.
Drop candidate CVs or notes into the folder and, on request, it screens each one against the role's rubric and reports strengths, gaps, and the specific questions worth probing in the interview — never a recommendation to hire or pass. That call always stays with you.
Every task here runs on request, not a schedule — hiring moves on your calendar, not a clock.
How does an AI hiring assistant work in this template?
There are three tasks, each run when you need it. Put a role-requirements file in the folder and run Draft job post. The Job descriptions skill opens with a short story of what the role does, splits must-have from nice-to-have, uses inclusive language, and includes a pay-transparency note: the range if your file gives one, and a flag that one is missing if it does not. It never invents a figure. Next, Prep interview questions builds a behavioral, technical and values set with what a good answer looks like.
When candidates arrive, add their CVs or notes and run Screen candidates. Each is checked against the role's rubric, and you get strengths, gaps and the specific questions worth asking. It never says hire or pass.
What do you need to set it up?
No connectors. A folder with your role requirements and, later, candidate files.
- Download Biilda and open it.
- Open Templates and find People & Hiring.
- Add it in one click.
- Grant the hiring folder with your computer's own folder picker.
- Review what was installed, then switch on the employee and the tasks you want. They start off.
There is no fee to download and no subscription; credits start at $20 and each task costs what it uses. All three tasks run on Balanced (pricing).
What can you change?
The Interview questions skill sets the mix, so tilt it toward behavioral or technical questions as the role requires. The Job descriptions skill carries your house style and pay language. For tier, Screen candidates can go to Best for a senior role or Economy for a quick first pass. If you are hiring continuously, you can ask Chat for a recurring task.
What does it not do?
The decision is not part of the job: it recommends nothing, sources no candidates and contacts no one, and nothing goes to a candidate or a job board. A thin rubric produces thin screening, because everything comes from the files in your folder. Posts are drafts for you to edit and publish.
