Biilda 1.0.1: start at sign-in, a monthly spend cap and a cleaner uninstall
Biilda 1.0.1 is a stable update to the desktop app, tagged v1.0.1 on 2026-10-07. The Windows installer shipped the same day, and the Mac version follows. Check the download page for the installers currently available.
This release makes your scheduled work easier to rely on and tightens up Settings:
- Start at sign-in. Biilda can now start when you sign in to your computer and wait in the tray. A fresh install asks on the welcome screen, and existing installs are switched on once. You can change it any time in Settings. See Install Biilda.
- Keep the computer awake. A new Settings option keeps your computer awake while scheduled tasks are pending: while plugged in (the default), always, or never. Chat and the Tasks calendar now remind you that scheduled tasks need an awake computer. See Tasks and schedules.
- Monthly spend cap. The cap is $100 by default. Change or reset it in Settings. When a month's spending reaches it, work pauses and picks up again when you raise the cap or the month rolls over. See Credits and pricing.
- Low-balance reminder. "Remind me to top up when my balance runs low" replaces the old auto-recharge checkbox. You get one notification, and it opens the top-up page.
- Employees and tasks. A switched-off employee now holds its scheduled tasks, and the Tasks tab says so. A Slack channel needs a channel address. Turning the Brain off really turns it off.
- Cleaner Windows uninstall. Uninstalling now leaves only your builds and data behind, and every file in the installer is signed.
- Template text fixes. Corrected wording across the template catalog.
